Are you planning to buy a new desktop computer? Buying a computer can be difficult if you do not know what you are looking for. Compare the various attributes and decide what you like. Computer hardware is always changing with advances in technology. You need to keep up with updates.
The CPU is the main unit of the computer.CPU is the abbreviation for Central Processing Unit. The latest CPUs are more powerful and more efficient than original CPUs.The Intel CPU and the AMD CPU are some of the processors that a customer will find. You will find a variety of CPUs on the market. A CPU contains cores. A CPU with many cores is good. The speed of the CPU is also important. You must also consider the number of functions and the price of the processor. Check the rating of each processor and any extra qualities.
The second item to think about when buying a computer, is the memory.RAM memory is used in many computers.DDR3 RAM memory is found in advanced systems while DDR2 is used in cheaper models. A system with 4GB or more of memory is good. If you want your system to operate smoothly, then you must buy a system with more space. The speed of the memory affects performance, so make sure that the memory is fast. You can increase the amount of DIMM to meet your needs.
The third item to consider when buying a computer is the hard drive. The hard drive is easy to select because its performance depends on the capacity and speed. A high performing hard drive is very fast and has a large capacity. How much is large? Well, a minimum capacity of 500GB is good. Many hard drives run at an average speed of 7200rpm.Top speed hard drives run at over 10,000rpm.Installation with ATA is quick.
The third thing to consider is the Optical Drive. Most optical drives are CD/DVD/BluRay. The latest computers come with a DVD burner.DVD burners are a basic feature in almost every computer whether cheap or expensive. The best system is one with a multi-format DVD burner. A multi-format DVD burner supports the -R/RW and the +R/RW formats.
A DVD burner running at 16-x speed is good. If the system supports dual layer media, then it is a plus. Label printing capability (LightScribe) is preferred, as well as BluRay high definition viewing capability.
Last but not least, you may not notice all the features when shopping. Most buyers are not aware of video card technology.Well, video cards are the in-thing. You can see if a system is fitted with video card technology by checking the left-hand side. A video card player supports many types of cards. This includes games and business media. Make sure that you buy a system with large memory. Use a DirectX10 card.
